The Oliver brothers, Jaume and Sebastià (from Can Carreró), opened their establishment in 1994. It is conveniently located in Plaça d'Espanya, Llucmajor. They aimed to offer, from the very beginning, a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere as well as a culinary proposal based on Mallorcan traditional "tapes" and "variat", having Catalina Alzamora, the owners' mother, in charge of it. In her dishes we can appreciate how true she is to Mallorcan traditions and to the people who consider cooking a subtle and accurate art.

How? Offering a seasonal cuisine with typical local products and working tirelessly throughout the years, without forgetting the new trends and changes in the culinary industry, which have been welcomed in their kitchen. For this reason, simple, but honestly prepared dishes have been added to the "tapes" and "variats" tradition. From prime-quality meat with grilled vegetables or squid carefully sprinkled with flour to French fries with eggs patiently made, as this essential product requires. These are some of the examples of a menu which is constantly changing and increasing. Surprising us with either a new salad, or a new original sandwich.

Today, and since the village square became a pedestrian-only area, bringing joy and vitality, the cafe has a terrace in the very square and another cozier one inside, where it once was the backyard of the house. Everybody is welcome and can feel at home at the Aràbic. Details are important: Music accompanying our conversations; the care of making and offering a splendid and aromatic coffee as well as a wide selection of teas and infusions. The bar is, therefore, a suitable place for either the first coffee in the morning or the last beer in the evening. You can come at coffee break and ask for the famous "llonguet" (Mallorcan sandwich) or maybe you can have a vermouth at noon and order a small "tapa" of "pica-pica" or "raoles de jonquillo". One day you can find Jaume Oliver (the owners' father), who furtively and naughtily gets into the kitchen and prepares a simple "pa torrat amb all i julivert" (garlic and parsley bread), that will leave you speechless.

Everyone can find its place and time at the Aràbic, which is an assortment of moments and people who love heterogeneity.

We look forward to having you here. You are very welcome.
